Forever Changing

Well, I’m supposed to be writing an 8 page paper right now. Due tomorrow. Something that I have known about for a while but, of course, have put off to the last minute. Why? Who knows. I fail quite often. Lol. My Procrastination is worse than anyone I’ve ever met. I should say that I have been incredibly busy lately and let’s face it, I’m DONE with school. Lol. 2 weeks and 2 days left! (aka 10 days left!) It really hit me when I went to buy my Tassel today at the bookstore. Lol. I still have plenty of school work left but it’s nothing compared to last quarter. Last quarter was almost the death of me. Between two term papers, logic and desperately trying to stay away in Social Stratification, it just was not an easy quarter. So, everyone has been asking me (constantly…lol) about what I plan to do after I graduate. Well, here is the plan. I plan to apply for several positions overseas that will begin in February. Yes, I’m still planning on applying to South Korea, despite the recent developments. However, I may apply to a couple of Taiwan positions as well, we’ll see. I will apply to work for GPIK (Seoul Public Schools) and EPIK (more specifically a position in either Daegu or Jeju Island). In Taiwan I would like to be near Taipei, more specifically near Danshui (the perfect blend of City Life, College Campus and right on the river/ocean! Not to mention it‘s right on the rail into Taipei central).
I am, However, planning to also apply to several school programs, well, at least one. I’ll be applying for Graduate School at OSU. If I get in, it will be a matter of whether or not I can afford to go. With my GPA though, it may be interesting to see if I could even get in (I’m not holding my breath or anything). I am also going to be looking for a second job. No, I’m not leaving my precious Hallmark! Especially not before Christmas! I’ve even considered applying for a management position at Hallmark but we’ll see. I know of a couple possible jobs right now that I’m considering. However, The day after I finish finals I am having my Wisdom teeth out and will be down for a week. Therefore, I want to wait until after getting all that crap done before I start looking too seriously. Plus, practically half of August I’ll be out of town or graduating, etc. it’s really a very busy time for me!
So besides all of the boring future plans / college crap that I just forced you all to read, what has been going on with me? Not a whole lot. However, considerably more than I would say the last six months or so combined. I’ve recently made some new friends. Brooke, also an English Major, has become my reading buddy. We’re slowly but surely working our way through Jane Austen over the summer then we’re having a huge Jane Austen movie fest this fall when she gets back into town! I’m pumped. No one else I know has ever shown real interest in Austen / Austen movies (which are my guilty pleasure… one of many!). Soojin is also a recent friend of mine. She’s from Korea and is a student at OSU as well. We met through OSU international and it’s been a blast so far! I recently went to her house for dinner. She and her mom made a ton of traditional Korean dishes and they were amazing! SOO good! She and her mom are both extremely nice! She and I have tons of similarities too. I think it was one of those situations when you meet someone and know you’re instantly going to be great friends! I’m helping her with her English and she’s helping my with my Korean and we’re just having a blast so far. It’s nice to finally have someone to talk to who even knows who Girl’s Generation is! Let alone has done her own dace video to one of their songs! (AWESOME by the way! They did such a great job!)
Yes, Things right now have been going really well as a whole. I did however, suffer a huge lose recently. I Know that Barry deserves a whole post all to himself but I think that we’ll just start with this and when I can settle my nerves enough to write a whole post / scan some pictures into the computer then I’ll get that post up. Yes, on July 2nd (Thursday) 2009 around 4:30pm. Barry passed away. We had to have him put to sleep due to the loss of feeling and function in his back hips and legs. I won’t go into detail about how hard it was to watch my once joyous and bouncy big dog drag his hind legs around, trying desperately just to get out in time to the side yard to pee. This was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever witnessed. I can’t even express just how hard the loss of someone, someone who has been in my life for 12 years (over half my life), is to deal with. I keep looking for him out in the backyard and back porch. Yes, Barry was a great Dog. Everyone who had ever met Barry loved him. He was one of those dogs who are just filled with nothing but unconditional love. He will be forever missed. I don’t know if I could ever have another dog after having such a good dog as Barry and having to suffer the lose of him like this. I should say, however, that it was a peaceful way to go. A friend of the family is a vet and we took him to her office. They have a really nice grassy/wooded area next to their office and that is where they did it. He was surrounded by family, smiling and panting lovingly ‘til the end. He was a good dog, a great dog and I truly did love him.
Well, now that I’ve made myself start to cry yet again (I’ve been crying off and on since last Wednesday, an entire day before we even took Barry to the vet), and have made this post turn incredibly depressing, let me change the subject. This summer has and is continuing to be all about changes. Changes that I knew were coming and changes that have hit me pretty hard. Changes that have been both good and bad. I know that life is all about change, things are constantly changing and once they change they can rarely return to the way they were before, however, despite knowing this, I hate change. I’m horrible with change and I loathe it. There are some changes that I can deal with easier than others but for the most part, I will fight change to the bitter end. (I’m not kidding, my grandma’s bathroom is still in metallic butterflies because I begged her not to change it like five years ago…and I STILL love that wallpaper by the way! They just don’t make it like that anymore! Lol) With that being said, I’ve been having a really really hard time with the fact that I am going through tons of HUGE changes all at one time.
I’m finishing school. I will no longer be student. I’ve been a student ever since I zipped up my little paper pad, safety scissors and Lisa Frank supply collection into my stylish Yellow, Green and Red Crayola book bag and headed off to my first day of Kindergarten. That was when I was five. I’ve been a student for 16 years of my life. And although I’ve come to loath school (ironic that I want to become a teacher?? I think so) It’s the world that I’ve come to know and the system that I know how to work. So leaving is going to be hard. Also, there is a very large possibility that within the next six months to a year, I’ll be moving out of my home and leaving my family. Something I’ve never done before. I didn’t even live in a dorm during college(NOT something that I regret). I’ve always been an independent person. After all, one of my first phrases was “I can do it myself!” something that my family has never let me live down… probably because it was and still is SO true. I’m incredibly independent and stubborn. Lol. Just the same, all of these changes have been hitting me hard and I don’t really know what to do with myself. I’m just trying to get things done step by step.
Step 1) Finish School
Step 2) Get my Wisdom Teeth out
Step 3) Cincy Tennis!!!! (graduation gift BABY!)
Step 4) graduate, August 30th.
Step 5) Find a Second Job
Step 6) Study for and then take the GRE
Step 7) Apply for Graduate Schools
Step 8) Apply for Positions overseas
Step 9) Throughout all of these steps, save as much money as possible, difficult when you are surrounded by Hallmark Ornaments each day at work! (another guilty pleasure…lol)
Step 10) Take a Breath and see where the next year takes me!

So Yes, this is the overall plan. Lol. I do realize that I have given my a 2 year cushion to take and use to get my crap together. I really thought that I wanted to get overseas ASAP but now that I’m finishing school, the draw of having my masters degree at the age of 22 has become more and more appealing!. What can I say. Lol. We’ll just have to wait and see though. If I don’t get in then I don’t have to worry about it. :-P So yes. With the exception of my Korean Individualized Track Class, I am finishing up OSU courses in two and a half weeks. After that, look forward to my Loved/hated List of OSU. Lol. It will be interesting I promise. Really it should be given to all OSU freshman. It’s just THAT useful :-P lol. Well, Since it’s now 12:30 in the morning and my paper in due in class in 11 hours, I should probably get started writing it! Lol. (not to mention the 20, yes that’s right, 20 copies that I have to make for all of my classmates for our workshop days…ugh. Lol. Anywho. This was therapeutic and now that I’m in a writing groove I feel much more prepared! I love writing late at night sitting here in my comfy pleather chair, with nothing but the attic fan running upstairs, the Korean pop music I’m playing and the occasional car driving by out front for background noise. It’s just perfect. It would be even better if it were raining! :) Well, until next time,

Oreo Cookie Mocha Buzz

Oh my gosh. I am So tired. This Schedule is going to be the death of me (or maybe it was staying up late watching the golden globes…hmmm… lol). However, I just got an Oreo Cookie Mocha and that seems to be doing the trick, for now that is. (Which it should! Costing $3.50 for a small!). When the Sugar/Caffeine starts to wear off I’m going to be double tired! AH! Lol. And I have to work tonight… UGH. That is the problem with this schedule. Last quarter I went to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and worked the other days. I enver had to do both in the same day and that is how I like it. This quarter I don’t have that luxury. I go to School every single day and therefore have to do both. Wah. Lol. (I know I know, I have it SO hard… lol).
So far through, classes seem to be going really well. Except for English 201, which is going to be boring no matter how hard a professor tries. UGH. Brit Lit is such a bore. Minus Shakespeare, Austen and Rowling of course. lol. Otherwise… Snooze fest! (of course there are some other minuet exceptions, such as Tennyson’s Lady of Shalott, but as a whole…Brit Lit SUCKS). Anywho…. Lol. Classes do seem to be going really well. Where as last quarter I was already dreading every single class and already knew I was going to hate the quarter! So yes. A big improvement. Lol. I know this sounds really really stupid and bizarre but I can read the vibes of a classroom and know exactly how the class is going to be and how I’m going to do in it. I think that is why I like online classes. There is no vibe. Just me doing my thing at my own pace. This whole vibe reading thing doesn’t just go for classrooms though, I do the same thing with people, animals, etc. yes. I’m a freak or just completely delusional. Lol. Which ever it is, it isn’t good. Lol.
Anywho… I’ll tell you what I am REALLY enjoying so far! I am taking Hatha Yoga with my mom at the Westerville Community Center and I LOVE it so far. It is a real slow paced, relaxing yoga and at the end there is a deep relaxation (meditation) and I just love it! I am also taking a flex class, the jury is still out on that one. However, it was ok yesterday so I think I’ll end up liking it. Lol. I really want to take Tai Chi at OSU but I won’t be able to get it into my schedule spring quarter. Therefore, my only hope is summer quarter, which probably won’t happen. Oh well, there is a Tai Chi Society based right in Westerville, I could always take classes with them. (I just won’t get credit for doing it! Lol)
I really can’t wait for Summer though. I mean, sure, it’s pretty scary thinking about graduating from college. I’ll no longer be on my parents insurance, I’ll have to get a big girl job, and hell, I’m planning to fly to another country for a year! Lol. But I really can’t even imagine being at OSU for two more years. I would KILL myself. I really do hate OSU. I know a ton of people love it, but I’m not a ton of people. I don’t live on campus, I don’t enjoy having to go to class, having a professor tell me what I’m supposed to think, having to pay hundreds of dollars for books every 10 weeks and I especially don’t enjoy having everything be about grades. Class isn’t about learning. It is about earning a good grade. After all, it’s all about the GPA and test scores isn’t it? Well, that’s what the University system wants you to think. The professors certainly feel that way. (most of them do at least. Sure, they teach and everything. However, why do they teach? So you can get good grades and they can take the credit for it. School is nothing but a big system, it hasn’t been about learning for years!
Wow, I really do get on tangents don’t I? lol. It just goes to show how much I truly do despise OSU. Like I said, this quarter isn’t so bad so far. I really like Sociology (I actually missed that class today. I kept thinking it was Tuesday and was disappointed when I didn’t have to go. Lol) and I always love anything that has to do with film. So Yup. This was a pretty useless entry. Lol. Fueled by my oreo cookie mocha I suppose ;-) lol.

A New Year, A New Quarter

Christmas Break is finally over and I have to say, THAT IT SUCKS! Break was actually really really awesome this year! Last year I was working so much and my family was working so much that we really didn’t even get a chance to do anything. We got our tree on the 23rd last year. Lol. However, that year was totally different! I still worked a lot, but my hours were awesome and my parents both has two weeks of from work! Therefore, we had time to do a ton of stuff! My family and I stayed up until 3 am almost every single night playing Wii or watching movies :-D it was a blast! My brother and dad and now addicted to Resident Evil, while I’m hooked on Zelda, Mario Cart and improving my super smash skills before the next friend get together. Muhahaha. Lol. (not that I will.. I’ll still suck ass. Lol) Plus, we watched a ton of movies! I can even remember all the movies that I watched this break, that’s how many movies I watched! Lol. Here is a list of just the movies I can remember:

Santa Claus 2
Muppet Christmas
Veggie Tales the pirates who don’t do anything
Miss Congeniality
Eagle Eye
Ghost Town
Mummy 3
Barbie Nutcracker
Barbie Mariposa
Barbie Diamond Castle
Barbie Island princess
Barbie Christmas Carol
Kung Fu panda
Bedtime Stories
Risky Business
Die Hard
Live Free or Die Hard
Johnny Tsunami
Model Behavior
Sense and Sensibility
Batman Begins
Get Smart
Journey to the Center of the Earth

Considering that I haven’t watched that amount of movies in such a short amount of time since…. I don’t even know when! That is quite an impressive list to me. Lol. (not to mention the fact that I watch some of these movies several times. Lol) Other great things I got to do over break were see the Nutcracker with my grandma, go get the tree with my family! (something we haven’t done in two years), I had a holiday party, which was SO much fun! I hope that everyone who came had as much fun as I did because I had a blast! The icing on the cake being, of course, getting the guys to sit through Barbie Nutcracker! (which is actually a very good movie! I even got my mom to watch it finally. Lol. And she has always been a HUGE Barbie movie skeptic. Lol)
So yes, all the pre-holiday and post-holiday events were a ton of fun! Christmas was even extra great this year. At my grandma’s house on Christmas eve it was just Uncle Rob and Aunt Pam, Grandma, and our family. Then on Christmas day, something kinda neat happened. We usually rip through the presents and everyone goes super fast and no one really gets to see what everyone else got. However, this year it was like everyone wanted to take their time and see what everyone else got. It was very relaxed and it made the present opening Christmas morning even more special. Partially because you actually got to see the look on people’s faces when they opened their gifts and then continued to open and play/fiddle with them and partially because instead of the usual 30 minute mayhem, we took two hours. It was nice, spending that extra time gathered around the tree J I don’t know, there was just something really nice about it this year J
Overall, it was a very nice holiday break. Of course, there are always moments are unpleasant memories brought up of people or events, and there are parties that you may not wish to go to but have to anyways. It happens, that’s part of what happens during the holiday season. It is just a matter or focusing on the good and not letting the bad get to you J I swear, I think some people are allergic to the holidays. It is like all these people get deathly ill right around Christmas and as soon as it is over, they’re A OK! My boss at Hallmark is like that. She gets all stressed out and I don’t think she really even likes Christmas time. Then when Christmas is over, it’s like she’s ok again. I feel sad for people like that because it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
So yup Break is officially over and classes have officially begun. Man, the schedule really sucks balls. I’m not going to lie. Lol. However, I had my schedule T/R done at 2:18 and then at the last minute I got in a the Spanish class taught by my summer spanish professor (best professor at OSU! By far!) and that class is every single day at 2:30 to 3:18. So then I had to rework my school schedule, because lets face it, I’m not driving all the way to campus, taking the bus over and then taking the bus back 45 minutes later and driving home. Nope. Lol. Not going to happen. So I got in a few M/W classes and then I have to still drive down for the one class on Fridays. So yes, This is my scary ass Schedule this Quarter:
M/W English 520 (Shakespeare)
T/R English 201 (Early Brit Lit)
T/R Sociology 597 (Globalization and World Poverty)
T/R English 378 (Film and Lit Shakespeare)
MTWTF Spanish 104
Online History 111 (World History)

T/R 5:30 to Close
F open to 1:30 or 5:30 to Close
S Open to Close (usually a 6 to 8 hour shift)

So yeah. Fathom having that schedule and then get back to me about having such a hard time at OSU. I have English majors who whine about how hard their work load is and they’re only taking 15 credit hours. They have no idea. And I just love people who don’t even work and only take 15 credit hours and then have the nerve to talk about how much work they have and how stressed out they are. I don’t care what your major is, if you can’t even carry a job while in school, don’t bitch to me. Lol. Anywho… So yes. That is my schedule. At the end of winter quarter I will be 32 credits away from graduating! I’ll take 25 credits next quarter and then I’ll go first term summer quarter taking whatever the hell is offered. Lol. And then I’ll be done July 24th! Yipee! So yup. That’s the plan.
By the Way, if anyone ever wants to hang out, I actually have quite a bit of free time on Mondays and Wednesdays so we could do lunch or something. Let me know J

Toodles and Schnoogles,

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the the Year!

So why is it that I’ve become so incredibly lazy? I can’t even be bothered to read the required text for my classes. It’s true. I have yet to actually read a book that is required for college. Lmao. However, I can’t even do things I like, such as update my livejournal! Argh! I’m such a failure (and kind of a badass since I don’t read and still get fairly good grades. Just think what my grades would be like if I actually did the work! Lol. Yea… I know, I fail ) Anywho… there are some things to update about but mostly my life hasn’t changed. Just plain… and BORING! This quarter was the WORST EVER! I mean, I hated every single class I was taking this quarter. Actually, that happened with me last autumn quarter. I dunno what it is about Autumn quarter but it’s the pits as far as I’m concerned. Lol.
I really should write more often. I don’t get to say a whole lot throughout the day, whether I’m working or at school, so writing is a very good outlet. So what is there to say? Well, Lets start with what hasn’t changed… Living at home, broke, going to osu…which I HATE… still single and lonely. Lmao. Still working at hallmark (which I really enjoy but don’t make enough money to save very much for Taiwan) still planning to graduate this spring, however I may stay on for summer quarter because I won’t leave for Taiwan until December and going 1st term summer quarter will allow me to stay on my parents insurance longer. Wohoo! Lol. So yup. Still planning to go to Taiwan to teach for at least a year.
So what’s really new with me? Not very much. I’ve hit the 100 mark on course credits! Lol. Actually, now that this quarter is over, I’ve hit 119. Pretty sweet. And next quarter I’ll be taking 30-35 credit hours ( a lot will be online! Awesome!) Don’t really know what my schedule is going to look like yet because at the moment I’m trying to get into a Spanish class that is taught by the coolest Spanish teacher on campus! Sweetness! But if I don’t get into that class, I’ll get going Tuesday/Thursday from 7:30 am to 2:18 pm. So, not bad at all. Lol. I love online classes!
Work is good. I actually got offered a promotion, however, I didn’t know exactly how my school schedule was going to work so I had to turn it down. It sucks, but it would have been a requirement of at least 30 hours a week. I think I may try and get a second job at safelite this next quarter. I need to start really saving up for Taiwan. Yup. Less that a year and I’ll be in Taiwan! How awesome is that??? I mean, sure, there is PLENTY that I’m going to miss and I’m sure I’ll be home sick at times, but I have to do it. It’s just something I’ve wanted to do for so long now, I’ve planned my graduation and my future around it and I just have to do it because it’s going to be awesome! And if it ends up sucking…I’ll pay my way out and go back home. Lol. No one says I have to stay for the whole year if I’m down right miserable. I don’t really see that happening though.
There will be SO much to do! Bamboo forests, coral reefs, surfing, hiking, boating, skiing, you name it and they’ve got it! Plus, I have to fly over to China to hike the Great Wall and I’m going to fly over to Japan and hike Mt. Fuji (and maybe visit Hokkaido, since that’s where I wanted to be stationed if I applied for the Jet program…which I didn’t, in case you were wondering. Lol ) So yes, I’ll be so busy that I really don’t think I’ll have time to get too home sick. Plus! I’ve found several animal shelters I would like to work with while I’m there! (Taiwan’s animal treatment is a bit behind the times, not unlike most Asian countries) Also, I’d like to pick up some Chinese. It would take me forever to write out all the job possibilities for someone who is fluent in Chinese here in America. Lol. So yes, I think Taiwan will be a great experience, I mean, how many people do you know that can say they lived and taught in Taiwan? Lol. It will be one of those things I’ll tell my children about when I’m older. Lol.
Anywho… anything else that is new with me? Not really. I mean, nothing surprising at least. Spike, my fair gold fish is still alive and kicking! He has to be at least 8 inches in length by now. Lol. He has a whole 20 gallon tank all to himself! Lol. And he’s loving it. Sparky, my Betta, is doing well too! I’ve had him since about October, he’s a Meijer purchase. Lol. I have to say, I was a bit worried buying a fish from Meijer, but he’s been awesome! A real trooper. People complain about how hard it is to take care of Bettas… so either Sparky seems to be an exception or people are just failures. Lol. I’ll go with the the latter. Lol. I do know that he’s had trouble with the cold.. But he’s in a half gallon wall bubble and they don’t make heaters for tanks that small. So, I’ll light a candle and put it on my night stand, some what below his tank. That seems to keep him happy J
Wow… a whole paragraph about my fish! Can you see how boring my life is???? I can’t help it though. Between school, work, and my laziness and overall drive to do anything… I don’t have much to say. Lol.
You know what is awesome though? Woodwick candles. We sell them at work, and when they burn they sound like a crackling fire. Well, I’ve had two since last Christmas but never really used them, so one night I got one out and burned while I was reading and I LOVED it! It really does sound like a crackling fire and I just love it! It’s lasted a pretty long time too! So if your in the market for an awesome gift or an awesome candle for yourself, Woodwick candles are your best bet. And they burn SO much better than crappy Yankee candles. They are a bit pricey… but they are well worth it. When I get my 50% off at work, I’m going to be buying like 4 of them! Lol. Especially in Vanilla Latte! It’s one of the best scents available! Lol. Yea, I know, I’m weird.
So yea, this quarter has pretty much really blown. I’ve hated every single class I had. It was to the point where the night before classes, I’d cry because I had to go to school all day. I can’t even tell you how many classes I missed this quarter. It’s just plain sad. I couldn’t help it though. I really really just couldn’t bring myself to go to some classes. I know, it’s pathetic, but that’s the way I get in the fall. they call it seasonal depression. That is why I should just take the fall off from school. Every fall I just end up fucking up my GPA. This quarter got to the point where All I wanted was a D in Spanish to pass and I was going to be happy. Now, I think I’m looking at a little high than that, but still, that’s pretty sad. When you go from getting a 3.7 GPA to praying for a D, you know something is wrong. So yes, hopefully next quarter will be better… it couldn’t be much worse.
Lol. I do have to say that I wrote two very good papers this quarter. Sure, that’s like two out of like 10 but whatever. I really liked how my history paper turned out. Everyone in the class wrote about Genghis Kahn or Confucius. I, however, wrote about Mulan. It was pretty bad ass. Lol. Then this other paper was for my English class and it was about poetry and I don’t know fi you know this but I HATE poetry. To all extremes do I hate it! The only and I mean ONLY exceptions being Edgar Allen Poe and Basho Matsuo (and music, but that doesn’t really count, I mean common, that’s rhyme put to music, it’s different) So anyways, I wrote this paper on Poetry and just went all out BS into total depth about what each little detail meant, etc. I don’t know what grade I actually got but it got me up from a C to a B- so it probably wasn’t to bad. I should be disappointed with the B-, I know, but the problem was that the grades didn’t come from how good the writing or argument was, the grades were all about whether or not the teacher agreed with your interpretation. I mean, HELLO, it’s an interpretation, who knows who is right? And why much every little thing in a story/book/poem have to mean something other than exactly what is being said? I swear, some English people are a little too “deep” for me. Anyways…. Lol.
The Holidays are FINALLY here! We’ve had the lights up since a week before thanksgiving! Lol. But all the other decorations and such still haven’t been done. Luckily, we’re going to go hunting for a Christmas tree this Friday! Yay! Last year we didn’t get to go out because someone was sick, I don’t remember who. Lol. Doesn’t matter, but anyways, we usually go out to this place out in the boonies and take hot chocolate and get all bundled up, hike really far out into the acreage and then find about three awesome trees and then spend about two hours deciding and arguing about which one we should get! I love it! Lol. It’s one of my favorite Christmas traditions. One year we actually got to cut down out Christmas tree by moon light J it was a lot of fun! So yes, the holidays are finally here! So this is my list of things I would like to get to do during the holiday season!
DONE (1) Cut down a Christmas tree, Clay Family style
(well, sort of. we all went together to pick one out at home depot. lol)
2) go to the Zoo’s Winter Wonder Lights
DONE 3) See the Nutcracker
DONE 4) Drink Eggnog
DONE 5) Send out Christmas Cards
DONE 6) Adopt children for Christmas through my Church
(Adopted 7 kids! YAY!)
DONE 7) Decorate the whole house!
DONE 8) Watch A Muppet’s Christmas Carol with my Family
DONE 9) Make Cookies with my Mom
DONE 10) throw a Christmas Party!

So yup, these are all the things I want to do this Holiday Season! Not including all the things I always love to do, like decorate the Christmas tree, watch all the Christmas specials, hang my Harry Potter Stocking :-D Go to my Grandmas for Christmas eve, spend time with friends, wrap lots of gifts! ( I love wrapping gifts!) gossip about my annoying family members, you know, the usual stuff! Lol. I already have all my cards addressed and stamped and all my gifts are wrapped! They just need bows and ribbon but I didn’t want to do that too early or they would get crunched and messed up! I just love Christmas! Can you tell? Lol. I’m already going to be all set for Christmas when I get my own place. I have two large tubs FULL with ornaments. Lol. But I figured I should buy while I get 50% off. Lol. Because I won’t be working at Hallmark forever and their ornaments are EXPENSIVE! Lol. I love me some hallmark though. I could see being a manager of a Hallmark some day. That would be really awesome. You know, if I don’t become a teacher, publisher, translator, etc ;-) lol.
So yup, I think I will leave it here for tonight, because I should have been studying/reading for my last final and instead I decided to play Solitaire, watch Asian Dramas, and write a two and a half page long journal entry. OOPS. Lol. Oh well, after tomorrow this quarter is going to be over and I’m not going to even care what my grades are going to be. I’m going to just look forward and put all my effort into next quarter and make sure it doesn’t end up like this quarter did. It won’t though. I’ll be riding with my mom, and somehow that helps me get through the day. Lol. I dunno! We’ll see! Only time will tell.
Oh! And by the way, look forward to a lot more of this entries, I plan to update a LOT more regularly from now on. I like to write it all out, it helps me relieve stress, get down thoughts, etc. lol.

2008 New Years Resolutions

Well my friend, the end of yet another year is upon us and it is time for that lovely little tradition of new years resolutions, however, this year, i fully intend to go through with my new year resolutions. So here it goes, my (somewhat long) list of new years resolutions:

1) the timeless tradition of, of course, losing weight. However, at well, my weight, i'm not being one of those people who are in good shape and still feel like if they just lose one more pound they will look a ton better. No, I need to lose the weight for both health and social reasons. No guy looks at a girl my size and thinks, "damn! she's hot!" it just doesn't happen. Also, with the long list of health problems that run in my family, I need to be as fit as possible. (and as a special bonus! If I reach my goal weight, I will get myself a massage and pink highlights! not to mention a new wardrobe! Bitten, forever 21 and lots of awesome cosplay outfits are calling my name! lol)

2) I will buy with each pay check either one barbie thing or little girl play thing for next december's adopt a child program at my church. I wonder how many kids I can adopt?!?!?! (also, each pay check I intend to buy myself one book from my book list!)

3) No more fucking around at school. I'm going to get the grades, even though I hate OSU. I'm just going to do it and get it over with. A possible Major change in my future? hmmm. it's possible. It is now highly unlikely I will be excepted into the nursing program this year. So If that is the case, I probably won't give up on my major, I will merely decide to double major and get all the prerequisites out of the way for nursing and then focus on either english or visual communication design next year.

4) I am going to not only keep my room clean, it is going to be organized and I plan to take the time to start clearing out and also making my walls awesome with framed puzzles, etc. then I can have people over!

5) I plan to try and make some actual friends at OSU. there is plently of great potential and I plan to make the best of it and really try to make an effort in the friend department.

So there you have it. My 2008 New Years resolutions! I don't really think that any of these goals are too far out of reach. I really plan to work hard this year to achieve each and every goal!
